FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: 22 LOCAL SELECTBOARD MEMBERS ENDORSE FERNANDES

Dylan Fernandes’ State Senate Campaign Announces Endorsement from Large Bipartisan Group of Local Selectboard Members

The Dylan Fernandes for State Senate campaign today announced the endorsement of a large, bipartisan group of twenty-two local Selectboard members from across Plymouth and Barnstable counties, signaling strong support for Fernandes’ record of effective collaboration and delivering real results for the local communities in the district.

In just one year as state senator, Fernandes secured $35 million dollars in local funding for the region. Included in that funding is the senator’s successful effort to save the region’s mental health facility in Pocasset and Pappas children's hospital which both provide critical care to local families in need. Fernandes passed 40 amendments in 2025, delivering local funding for all eight towns across the senate district - Plymouth, Pympton, Kingston, Pembroke, Falmouth, Mashpee, Bourne, and Sandwich.

“Local Selectboard members are on the front lines of public service,” said Dylan Fernandes. “I’m honored to earn the trust and support of this bipartisan group of local leaders because at the end of the day, we will work with anyone and everyone to help people in our local towns.”

The campaign emphasized that this broad show of bipartisan backing reflects Fernandes’ proven ability to work across party lines and focus on practical solutions. As co-chair of the rural caucus, Fernandes has championed and passed for the first-time the doubling of roads and bridges funding for towns, including adding road miles to the formula so that the districts’ communities receive more funding.

“While Democrats and Republicans don’t agree on much at the federal level, I’m proud to say that here on the local level, both sides agree: Senator Dylan Fernandes is working hard to deliver for our local communities at the State House.”
